Users can effortlessly find IMAX theaters, check showtimes, watch trailers, and buy tickets and merchandise. The challenge? Integrating live broadcasts with interactive features, mini-games like film quizzes, and leveraging beacon technology to send real-time showtime alerts as users walk by cinemas. We needed to ensure that every element — from complex visual effects to a smooth user interface — worked together to create an engaging and cutting-edge experience.

• Locator

  The app features an advanced theater locator that allows users to quickly find nearby IMAX theaters using their current location or a set area. It also provides all essential details like address, contact info, directions, and uses Beacon technology to send real-time notifications when users are near a theater.

• Listings

  Users can browse an extensive list of films available in IMAX format, showcasing both current and upcoming releases optimized for the IMAX experience.

• Showtimes & Tickets

  Our solution offers immediate access to showtimes for IMAX screenings at multiple locations, with a streamlined ticket booking process that allows users to purchase tickets effortlessly in a single interface.

• Trailers & Promotions

  The app provides users with the latest IMAX releases, trailers, and exclusive offers. It also includes additional media content such as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with stars.

• Live Interactions

  Users can engage with live broadcasts featuring stars and actors. During these broadcasts, users can interact by posting comments and giving ratings, creating a dynamic and engaging experience.

• Reviews, Ratings, and Personalization

  Users can access consolidated reviews and ratings for IMAX films. The app supports extensive personalization, enabling users to create profiles, receive customized recommendations, and access promotions tailored to their viewing history and preferences.
